“In middle school, I was severely bullied. I was even pushed in front of a car at the bus stop.”

Eleanor’s biggest obstacle to overcome happened when she was 12 years old.

In middle school, I was severely bullied. I was even pushed in front of a car at the bus stop.

At the end of the school year, I transferred to a public charter school that was everything I could have wanted. I poured myself into my schoolwork, determined to make myself better. I ended up dual enrolled in the local community college, graduated early, became an Emergency Medical Technician at 18, and now I serve in the US Army National Guard and I’m working towards my RN license. Those bullies are in much less nice situations. Life is really what you make of it.
